Well we don’t of course all have to be avid followers of fashion, or trends for that matter, but it’s always interesting and fun to hear what everyone’s talking about right now, especially when it comes to our homes and lifestyles!
2023 seems certain to focus highly on sustainability, with vintage furniture being a much sought after addition to your home.
People are now shopping much more consciously as part of their lifestyle choices and now, more than ever, this is top of their check list.
Not primarily, it seems just for the environmental aspects, but the desire to move away from mass produced items found on the high street, opting for a much more individual look. In essence, we are exploring our personalities and expressing them throughout our homes!
Seeking a calm, soft and inviting interior with artfully restored pieces of vintage and retro furniture that are ethically sourced and re-styled to complete the look.
Beautiful neutral, organic tones such as cashmere and natural stone will be married with burnished golds and bronze accessories to add a relaxed yet inviting interior.
Wood will also feature strongly with rattan and stripped back tones bringing in some calm to our interiors, not forgetting of course curved shaped furniture and a focus on nature with botanicals, birds and soft greens adding to the mix.
Sneak in an occasional pop of colour, perhaps a vintage frame or an exquisite art deco piece and you’ve created an interesting, eclectic interior that offers a contemporary and unique mix of old and new.
It certainly sounds like we’ll all get to enjoy a more peaceful home with pops of personality, colour and sustainable beauty. Sounds like a winning combo to me!
I am so ready to re-visit my colour charts and start designing some gorgeous creations just for you.
Bring it on 2023, I’m ready for you!
